Associate – Transmission Analytics

The Opportunity
A Calgary-based clean energy and energy transition technology company is seeking an Associate to join its Transmission team.

You’ll help deliver advanced power-system and transmission analytics that support major investment and development decisions across North America.

Working with transmission specialists, clients, and product and software teams, you’ll contribute to analytical tools and turn complex grid data into actionable insights.

You’ll contribute to transmission studies, develop data-driven insights, and help improve analytical tools that support investment, development, and the broader energy transition.

What You’ll Do

• Perform transmission power-flow studies supporting investment and development decisions.

• Contribute to interconnection and transmission studies from analysis through final delivery.

• Partner with software and product teams to improve scalable transmission analytics and tools.

• Develop data-driven insights on the evolving North American power grid.

• Work directly with clients to deliver customized analysis and practical recommendations.

• Communicate study findings through reports, presentations, and client discussions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; Electrical or Power Systems Engineering preferred.

• At least 1 year of experience with transmission power-flow analysis and a foundational understanding of power systems.

• Exposure to PSSE, PSS, MUST, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld, or similar transmission-analysis tools is an asset.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity to investigate complex technical questions.

• Clear communicator who works well with technical teams and clients.

• Comfortable taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Genuine interest in transmission, grid infrastructure, and the energy transition.
